seven Spanish angels

Inspired by the song Seven Spanish Angels sung by Willie Nelson.  The nine figures were carved from a single log of California incense cedar that was left from the 2003 Cedar Fire.  The figures comprise a tableau, centered on a tragic shooting, in which the angels are various personas from urban Chicana society.
