This is a tribute to gospel singer Sister Rosettta Tharpe.  Watching videos of her concerts, it struck me that she tended to look up and sing to God.  Sculpted from spalted curly maple, mesquite, and amboyna burl on a myrtle base.  Finished with analine dyes, copper leaf and acrylic polyurethane.
